I recently bought a new bike and it is my first with Campy components (mostly 2005 Veloce). Since I often go on multi-day rides, I like to have a tool kit that can take care of just about anything on the road. When looking for a chain break tool that will work with the 10 speed chain, Campy states that there is only one chain tool that will work and it is too hefty to carry on a ride. Is this their BS or will any 10 speed chain tool work to remove a link, etc. in an emergency?

Again,Campy is full of BS.My cheap park tool has worked on every chain it's ever encountered,including campy 10.

Aggreed. Just don't buy a cheap no name job as the pin is likely to break. -
Thanks, guys. Your answers confirmed what I already thought, but I didn't want to end up in the middle of no where to find that my park 10 speed chain tool would not work.

Check out this "Super Link". It eliminates having to use any tools.
Connex/Wipperman uses one also on their 10 speed chains. They work great. -

Sometimes you need to remove some links and bypass deraileurs to get home, so you still need a tool to get some link removed.
