accuses me of spamming with no evidence.

I never claimed you made postied spam. My point was that people tend to

All this jumping on any post that could possibly with both eyes
slanted be marginally off topic or commercial and labelling them spam
is beginning to be tiresome. In the near future people will become
tired off the aggressiveness and stop posting.

If you don't find the subject interesting to you just walk away from
it. I found the same with the "Quality espresso" thread. Yes, a
commercial post, but interesting, and if replied to in a courteous
manner would possibly end in the OP giving an insight into the
commercial espresso machine world. Same with this thread. A post
from a known contributor with useful information.

Think I'll start some new threads for you people to jump on...

That's the hazards of cross-posting. Peter's a well-known figure in
RFC, but that same apparently isn't true for alt.coffee. We (RFC) also
see lots of that type spamming. I do think "L" there was a bit too
quick, usually a google check on the person in question is enough,
unless it's one of the boneheads that posts a "look at the web site I
just found" while using an email address from the URL!

Anyway, isn't all coffee the same? Just get some instant. What? Why's
everybody staring at me like that? Ow! Cut it out!

Opened the RUiz site and surprise surprise they have arabica/typica
beans and not those high yield/low flavor beans found in much of CA.
Do they sell green beans to importers in this country?

Also how was traveling in Panama - beautiful country - have not been
there in years - now that CR is getting over run - may return to Panama
for my next thaw out vac.

I myself am buying Cafe de Boquete (both Ruiz and Virginia Estate) from
another distributor here in Pensacola. I think it's pretty darned good
coffee.

His name is Ricardo Krause. I was connected to him through a phone call
from the manager of the local Small Business Developement Center, Dan
Cavanaugh, who helped me get started. Ricardo's dad, whom I've met
twice in my bagel shop, exports it to his son, who sells it locally to
me and several other shops, including the Pensacola Bad Ass Coffee Co.
He also sells other Panamanian products, moslty various hot pepper
sauces and beans.

Certainly, and I've done my share of revealing such fraud. But I don't
simply look at such a post and say, "hey, it's spam." I check the
domains whois info to find a connection, or I look up the poster's past
history in Google Groups.

Five seconds work would have shown that it wasn't spam. It is, after
all, possible that people might actually want to post about a business
they like. Posting about PIDs isn't the *sole* purpose of a.c., right?

Nope, Peter has been posting on RFC for years. If he says it is good
coffee, it probably is.

I have to agree this coffee is exceptional this past year it is a little
bright in espresso though
brings out the lemon citrus in it, floral and zesty kind of a central
American Yirg.
Both the Lerida Estate and the La Berlina Estate are from the Ruiz family I
have some info on the La Berlina farm
