I have used Meal-Master's DOS based program for about ten years. Nice little program and have gathered or recorded a couple thousand recipes over the years. Recently I had to replace my computer and the new computer came with WindowsXP installed. With some searching on the Internet I came across a conversion program MM806F which has allowed me to operate the MM files on my PC. Problem is the size of the window is restricted to 640 X 480 which looks quite small on my 1024 X 768 screen. Looking for candidates for a windows based replacement that allows me to import my old recipes. I found one candidate Livingcookbook and even downloaded their trial software. On first try I was not able to get it to see my MM files. Then there was the fact it requires use of Internet Explorer which I do not want to use for security reasons preferring Netscape. Anyone gone through this conversion process and has any recommendations? Does not have to be free but less than say $40.

Now You're Cooking is a great recipe program I use and it easily imports Meal-Master recipes (no reason it wouldn't take DOS ones as well as Windows). There's a trial version you can download (60 days I think).
They have a huge recipe library you can download from. There's a great support forum on Yahoo! Groups that the software developer , Gary Hauser, monitors and sometimes answers questions himself.

Have a look at our software Shop'NCook. It imports well recipes in MealMaster format. Scott Welliver (the author of MealMaster) helped us check it is compatible.
It has an intuitive user interface and can import recipes directly from internet too. You can download a trial version at http://www.shopncook.com .
Hi Hank; I am using XP and also using Mealmaster. But, I use it basically to transform recipes into MM format to import to the new recipe program I'm using now.
I use Big Oven. It is easy to use and very user friendly.
