Send it off to Goodwill. Seriously. You cannot microwave in a wok.

Or do you mean, you cannot wok in a microwave? 🙂

I think what was meant is that while you can probably find
a wok-shaped thing that can be used in a microwave, whatever
it is you're doing when you use it ISN'T what you'd want to
use a real wok for in the first place.

  7. For sure you can't wok in a microwave! But if you like Asian food, keep
the wok and get an Asian cookbook. I've been cooking in my wok, well,
actually, 3 different woks, for over 30 years. I love them. The cheap
spun steel ones you get in any Asian market for less than $10 work
    great! Give it a try.

You didn't read the original post - it is a "wok" for use in the microwave,
not an Asian wok. Surely it will not work on the stovetop as you are
thinking of. And please, try to quote portions of what you are replying to.

  9. Jill,
I read the thread from the beginning, there was no mention of it being
a "microwave wok", never heard of such an animal!
Always open to suggestions. Are there any other bad habits you'd like
    me to correct for you?

How about you read the SUBJECT "Microwave Wok" for starters?

  12. Dear Jill,
I did. But never heard of a microwave wok, so I assumed that the title
was his interpretation of how it was to be used, not the name of
something. I probably should be burned at the steak (pun intended) for
this grievous misunderstanding. And you flamed me! See, you have done
the right thing, as always. Every ng needs an arrogant, self-righteous

    filling the bill so ably!

The perhaps you should probably take lessons on reading comprehension.

IMHO, it's a crime to burn a steak. And dear god, if you think what I said
is *flaming* then you really have no clue.

    See, you have done

You're quite welcome. And I still request you quote at least part of what
you are replying to. If that's what you consider flaming, so be it.

OB Food: The chuck roast is coming along nicely! Will make gravy and spoon
it over the nice fluffy brown rice I prepared last night. Later in the week
some of the leftover beef will go into a beef & broccoli stir-fry.

    Wok? Microwave?
It looks like something that could be used to re-heat Chinese food.

You can't roller skate in a buffalo herd
And you can't 'wok' in a microwave.
Unless; The microwave is some [censored]' powerful thing with an internal
stirring thingy that is going to beat hell!
But you can be happy if you've a mind to.
    With apologies to Roger Miller.

Came in late on this thread, but there is no such thing as a microwave wok.
Perhaps it is a gizmo shaped like a wok that can be used in a microwave?
