I recently put a shiny new 10 speed Ultegra groupset on my road bike to replace the squeaky creaky old 105 stuff, and yeah, its very nice.
However, along with the thin chain, the front derailleur cage is thinner to match, and I'm getting a fair bit of chain rub now. I no longer seem to be able to adjust the front derailleur so I never have to use the trim functions in any of the gears, like I used to be able to with 9-speed.
Okay so maybe that's a bit of an optimistic goal, but it's not just the extreme gears that cause rub: it's still there even 3 or 4 gears into the cassette 🙁
What have other people's experiences been with the new 10 speed Shimano gear and front derailleur chain rub? My frame is a C'dale CAAD5, which I would have thought would be fairly standard when it comes to chainstay length.
Off I go to the service instructions to work out how to set up the trim levels, I guess :p
