anyone will be able to notice while riding, but it is a significant
difference for a single component.
A fair comparison would include the additional weight of a disc hub vs.
a non-disc hub.
Like internal gears, fat tires, drop bars, and suspension of any kind,
disc brakes weigh more than the lightest alternatives, but offer
advantages that can more than offset their added weight in some
circumstances.
