and it (the new beta) seems to be getting slower and slower with its
updates. It used to update a few times a day IIRC. Now it seems to be

I would always take a safety first approach and take the decision out of Googles
hands by using my 2nd email address for untrusted people/companies. I find the
new Hotmail .co.uk address good for that; I have both the .com & .co.uk for my
name.

Thanks for doing that test.

I use Google at work if I need to urgently check on urw (!) and I even
set myself up a google account, just before Xmas, so that I could post
too. However, I could not find out whether it was going to display my
email address - so decided not to use it. I know I could set up a
throwaway address, but I wanted all of my posts to have the same
header info. I know I could use the same sig from Agent and Google
(not that I use one at all at the mo) so that people have my contact
details but I was still disapointed that Google seemed to be going to
display the address.

Oh well, I suppose that means I'll have to work while I'm at work.
