  1. Doing the happy dance!!!

I guess my scale wasn't lying too badly last week. It looks like I made my
monthly challenge goal already!!! I've been keeping the carbs low - except
for last weekend, with 2 birthday parties in one day. I managed to ignore
the cake at the first, but the second I took a small piece. Once I did that,
then I had to have another. I have absolutely no tolerance for sugar. It
starts massive cravings. So, that evening and the next few days, I made sure
to add glutamine to reduce the cravings.

Again, I kept up with exercise - 5 out of 7 days. I also started fiddling
around with an exercise ball for just sitting. I've been on a couple of
conference calls for work and instead of sitting in a chair, sat on the
ball. You just never stop moving on the ball, have to keep the body in
motion to keep stable. I'm also using it for watching some television. With
my very bad back, adding a very gentle, core strengthening exercise should
help rehab some of the back, glut and ab muscles that haven't been used for
ages. Besides, the ball doesn't squeak like my home desk chair. Eliminates
some background noise on the phone.
