  1. Hi all,

I'm replacing my ancient fan turbo trainer, and am considering the following
candidates. I'd be very grateful for comments on these trainers...

    Tacx Swing or Cycleforce One.
    CycleOps Fluid2.
Elite Volare Fluid or Mag (elastomer?).

I don't need fancy features, but do need it to be quiet and reliable. So
far, I've heard that fluid trainers can be unreliable (sometimes leak), and
    that elastomers
    are extra-quiet.

    Any opinions?

The CycleOps is boring but works well, and the company is excellent with
    warranty support.

I second that. I have had several trainers over the years and the
Fluid2 is the only one that has not had the resistance unit fail. (I
put about 1000-1500 miles per year on a trainer). However, I have
stripped the threads (twice) on a small piece that is used to hold the
resistance unit against the wheel. Graber products promptly shipped me
    a replacement both times.

Speaking only from my own experience.
    Tom
