Replacement chainring shifter

    Hi all,

    Help. My triple chainring grip-twist shifter on my bike, marked "SRAM
    Max Plus" (don't snigger at the back :-), has died (the ratchet has
    shuffled off this mortal coil). I'm guessing it's not fixable (?), so
    wonder what folks might suggest for a replacement. It has a 7-speed
    rear, if that makes any difference, but I'm only looking to replace the
    front one at the moment. I'm looking for something reasonably cheapish,
    and am happy to consider twist or thumb shifters.

    You might find a secondhand thumbshifter on eBay.

    Hi there.

    I've got a set of 7sp grip shifts sitting in a box in my loft. I think
    they've been there since 1996, and have never been used.

    Yours for a donation to one of the tsunami appeals plus postage.

    SRAM and Shimano twistshifters are often available separately. Prices
    start here around 8 euro's (Sram MRX, Shimano Tourney)

    Get a new Gripshift - only a tenner. Make sure it has the cable already
    in!
