  1. are Tektro Road shoe holders
    the same as
    nashbar road shoe holders?

  2. I'm pretty sure the answer is yes. And both will take standard
    UIltegra/DA pads, though the best (IMO) are the ones made by KoolStop.

    No. The Tektros are adjustable for toe, while the nasbar holders
    are not. Also, the tektro holders are about 2mm thicker when you count
    in the concave-faced washer that's there to accomodate this
    adjustability.

    Kool Stop? viewed and suggested at:

    Dura Ace/Ultegra Refills and then the tektro reference follows the
    Refill description.

    Yes, both the Tektro and Nashbar holders take the same pads as the
    Shimano holders. I have the Tektro holders on my front brake and
    Nashbar on my rear, and salmon kool-stop rubber in both.
