  1. I've got a Cane Creek threadless Aheadset--do I need to make sure I buy a certain kind of threadless fork to match? I've seen some people on ebay note that a given fork is designed to match "aheadset."

You need a threadless(ahead) fork with the correct steerer diameter.Tou also need to worry about long enough steerer length.

  3. Also, if your headset came with a star nut but you want to get a fork with a carbon steerer tube, you will need an expanding aluminium bung or a USE Ring-Go-Star. You can't (or at least, shouldn't) use a star nut in a carbon steerer.
