  1. DO you like hydralic or mech. if so which type do you use

  2. I used to use mechs but I use Deore Hydro now and there is no comparison. The good mechanicals are comparable in modulation and control, but they are stuck by a cable. Cables require springs to maintain tension. They get gritty and rough. A hydro line is sealed and for intensive purposes frictionless. They are almost maint free by comparison as well. The effort required is so much less when you don't have the hassle of cable drag and return springs.

  3. Currently using avid mechanical discs they work great braking very similar or almost the same as a hydraulic disc setup I rode (hayes) though all mech discs are not greated equalthe cheaper shimano ones I rode were' nt much better than v-brakes, as for mechanicals avids are great.🙂
