What bicycle computer do you use?

I use the Sigma BC1600. I'm just returning to cycling after 30 years, and I read that what works best is to learn to keep your cadence both constant and reasonably high. The Sigma BC1600 costs about $30 US, and for about an additional $5, you can get a cadence kit. I didn't want to spend a gajillion bucks on a computer (some of them are in the $250 range), and the basic functions on the BC1600 include speed (you can set it for either metric/kph or imperial/mph), daily mileage, trip mileage, total mileage for two bikes, total ride time, top speed, average speed, and it has both a clock and a stopwatch. (The stopwatch is good for when I'm training; this way I actually do the 30 minute routine I set myself, rather than cutting it off at 27 minutes.)

Do a search of the usual online suspects: Performance Bike, Nashbar, Branford, Colorado Cyclist, or anybody else you come across. You can probably find somebody who offers the computer and cadence kit cheap - maybe even as a package deal.

Welcome. I am originally from Willmar MN. I use a shimano filghtdeck and I love it. You can find something just as useful alot cheaper though.

I am using the Ciclosport HAC4. It's the best computer i have ever used.

Cateye CD300DW wireless speed/cadence all in one.

I have two road bikes. Shimano SC-6501 Flight Deck on one and a Shimano SC-6501 Flight Deck on the other. Love 'em!

2 bikes 2 Catyeye Astrale 8s wired with cadence. Got them both from Performance for $25.00 US.

Sigma BC 1600. Not too much and not too little! JUST RIGHT!

VDO C10+ (I think). It does NOT have cadence, but has the basic functions, is wireless, relatively cheap, and does the job just fine!

BC800 on both bikes (and as a speedo for my Model T Ford). Used to have a Cateye Velo1 which was great except no clock.

Ciclosport 436M (one down from the HAC4). It's great!

I've got the Flightdeck, wireless. I love the controls because they are integrated into the brake hoods. Never have to leave to see my stats. I am currently building a cyclocross bike with leftover Shimano components. I'll add the wireless kit to that bike too, and just use the same head unit from my road bike.

Vetta HR1000, no cadance, but does have heart rate functions. This model not made anymore. Supergo repackaged it with their name for a while.

Older Sigma BC800 or even 600..I don`t know exactly and I`m too lazy to go downstairs to check hehe!:p

My friend gave me a Sigma Sport BC1600 and an RDS kit.😄

To bad the Transmitter on the RDS kit had a problem, but I will get it replaced.

I will probably be purchasing a Cadence Kit and an HRM as well.
