  1. Get rid of the avocado. They have way too many carbs and they are not
that good. I think they are horrible.

I think I did pretty well for my first day today.

For breakfast I had 3 poached eggs, 3 slices of bacon, 1/2 of an
avocado and a 16 oz glass of unsweetened ice tea. I always drink my
ice tea unsweetened, so I probably won't continue to use the word
unsweetened when posting about the ice tea I drink.

For a snack I had 6 oz of ham.

For lunch I had 1 cup of iceberg lettuce, 1 hard-boiled egg, 3 oz of
canned tuna, 1/2 of an avocado, 2 tablespoons of Italian dressing (no
sugar). I had 16 oz of water with my lunch.

For supper I had 1 cup of iceberg lettuce, 1/2 cup of raw cauliflower,
1 hard-boiled egg, 1 1/2 tablespoons of Italian dressing (no sugar)
and a 16 oz glass of ice tea.

I also drank my 2 quarts of water and I feel great. I actually felt
full after each of my meals and that somewhat surprised me. But, I
feel that I accomplished a great deal today by starting the diet. I
had made sure that I had plenty of the foods that I would need
beforehand so that it made it easier. But I will tell you people that
I have never had to pee so darn much in my life. My husband and I
also went for a walk and we walked for about 1 3/4 miles. I know it
isn't very much but it is a start. Right?

    They aren't high-carb -- they ARE high-calorie, however. I think
they're GREAT, but I've decided to stop buying them until spring -- too
many of the ones I've bought lately are browning inside in a way that
makes me think they are rotting from the inside out. I liken it to the
way strawberries just aren't that good as you start getting into fall.

One avocado has approx 14g carbs, but has 11g fibre. Hardly "way too many
carbs". They are also a good source of healthy fats, plus they taste great!
