  1. Okay, I'm taking a critical step in my unicycling tomorrow morning with
Billham. We're meeting at 7am in a 33° rain to get 10 miles in before
we both have to get our families ferried to and from various lessons and
    events. Crazy?

    Unidaddy (Bob)

    that's 33°F

  3. Yes, but don't let that stop you.

That pretty much was the MO I used to do with my Roadie (bike) buddies
when we rode year round. One of them always had to be home by 10. Frosty
and icy was best, you never knew when the front tire would slide out.

I like cool mornings for summer uni. I prefer cold afternoons for winter
uni. My brain doesn't work right in the morning.

Last Sunday I was riding the neighborhood in about 35F dry weather. I
was wearing a sweatshirt and shorts with Harbingers, arm armour, and
knee pads. The first mile or so was finger freezing numb. After a few
miles and hills I had sweat dripping from my temples. I found it ironic
that in the last 1/2 mile a walker said, "that looks cold". He couldn't
have been further from the truth.

Ever wonder why it seems too darned cold when you walk out of the house
in 32F weather but you hit the ski slope in 30F weather and you find its
    too hot?

  6. Perhaps I was neglectful to my fellow forum members and should have
issued a warning, but that's what happens...

"Cokers turn normal people into madmen!!!"

(Sorry Dave... had to be lame and quote myself)

Here's the official warning (so now you can't say I didn't tell you):

::WARNING: Cokers turn normal people into madmen!::

Perhaps the COker should come with a placard on it that says something
    to that effect...

  7. Sign me up! Bring a straight-jacket, we (billham and I) had a great
little ride which started in the dark (very tricky for billham who does
a rolling mount....where'd those pedals go?) with a light rain and temps
around 38 degrees F. We saw close to ten deer at one point....they were
frantically crossing the path in front of us and we separated a doe that
really panicked. Luckily there were no uni/deer collisions! We rode
the paved section of the Montour Trail because the non-paved sections
didn't appeal to us with the soaked conditions. We had a great time. I
think we'll be doing that again soon.😄

Way to go. We had a severe weather warning last night (gales, torrential
rain etc.) and I saw it and thought aha, good day for a coker ride, so
obviously cokers do make you crazy.
