  1. Can some one point me to any low carb salsa recipes
    thanks

  2. Mmm, I love salsa. This is one of those foods that some people consider not
really LC, but I find tomatoes to be very good for weight loss. YMMV.

For a basic salsa, here is what I do.

Being that is is winter I use canned whole tomatoes. I find the whole to be
    of better quality.

    1 can of whole tomatoes
    some cilantro finely chopped
    squeeze of lime
some peppers....my favorite would be Cheyenne finely chopped. Be careful,
peppers can be very hot and you can always add more
dash cumin...I don't always put this in....depends on my mood
    green pepper sometimes
onion if I want it to be a little less LC
    garlic
sometimes I add a little vinegar

Sorry, I don't do real recipes anymore. Just throw in what you like and
blend away. I just chop mine by hand because I like a chunky type salsa,
but you could use a food processor if you prefer a little finer salsa.

I love salsa and I love to say it as well.

I use a can of 'original recipe' Delmonte stewed tomatos mixed with
12 ounces of pace picante sauce (medium hot). To that add 2 tblsp
olive oil, 1/2 tsp ground cumin and 1/2 tsp celery salt and 1 packet
splenda. Hit the blender switch for less than 2 seconds to leave
chunky. Eat about 3 or 4 tbsp per day till gone.

This contains some stuff that is good for you especially if you are a
male, that may prevent prostate cancer or slow its growth.
