A gentleman has posted a question on my website that has me totally stumped. Do any of you in the group know the answer to this one?
"Please could you tell me if there is a hamlet where 16 dales converge or run into it? Sorry to be a nuisance but my father would like to know. Thankyou"
16 Dales running to one convergent point - seems a little improbable to me.

I'd look at Swaledale or Wensleydale, which both have lots of contributory dales.

Thixendale (SE 3461) , near Fridaythorpe, on the Wolds Way National Trail. Maybe not meeting at one point but there is one many-branching dale and several others that meet there. -- Phil Cook looking north over the park to the "Westminster Gasworks"

I'm not sure why my reply from last night didn't appear, but here it is again:
Takes a bit of imagination to find 16, but that's supposedly the derivation of the name of the village. Excellent pub there too, though the Youth Hostel and tea room have closed down :-(
