In general, http://www.netrition.com is one of the better webstores
for reliability, customer service and pricing.

I haven't bought a protein powder for quite some time (LCing since
1997), but Designer Protein has been one of the more popular whey
protein brands. Designer and some other whey protein products are
very good, but several bargain brands of whey protein powders that
I tried in the past had an aftertaste resembling spoiled/sour milk,
so you might want to see if a local health food store has any sample
packets before you buy a cannister.

Soy protein powders are usually a lot cheaper than whey and egg
protein, but most of them tend to have an unpleasant aftertaste or
a gritty texture.

I prefer the taste of egg protein, but as I don't do shakes all that
often, I usually use Just Whites brand powdered egg whites from the
baking aisle of most supermarkets.

I enjoyed the taste of the brand that I was using (after I added some
Splenda), but they have closed up shop.

i use CHOCOLATE DESIGNER PROTEIN, mix it with a little cream, and
pour it in my coffee like a creamer!
