Gee, and they awarded the guy who wrote the book a whole lot of money too.
Hmm. A few pieces of circumstantial evidence, a couple of quotes from
somebody who used to work for him (but has no proof of anything), and a
writer who can make a whole lot of money selling a book that dresses all
that up as fact.
And it's all terribly *old* news too. Nobody questions that this "evidence"
was sat on until the most-prime opportunity to sell a lot of books. And
nobody questions that such "evidence" could likely stay hidden for so long
either. There are so many people who, for one reason or other, would love to
take Lance down... hard to believe they wouldn't have exposed such things at
a much earlier date.
Ironically though, I'm not saying that Lance is definitely clean. All I'm
saying is that the "evidence" so far doesn't make the case that he's not. It
appears to fall under the category of a made-for-profit endeavor, rather
than a true fact-finding mission.

Sorry. Should have noted that I'd [snip]'ped your comments.

I guess that explains why I didn't see the original post. Guy's in the
killfile, deep.

Mike,
Lance and doping is right up there with helmet laws with me. ... MUST ...
RESIST ... but, CAN'T!
Hey Mike, I got the new front derailleur mount you asked the Trek guy to
send me. Thanks. Also, my little device continues to work flawlessly.
Hundreds of miles and hunreds of shifts between the front chainrings. Not a
single drop! And I've never had to touch the thing since I put it on.
Also, I have one of the n-gear units here. Ten of my little devices
wouldn't weight what the n-gear unit weighs. But your Trek tech guy isn't
filling my e-mail box with desparate messages, so I guess they're not too
enthused. Dang ... I thought I had the greatest new invention since The
Clapper.

Bob: Glad you got the mount; one of these days I'll make the change on my
own bike as well! Regarding your chain-catcher idea, don't be too concerned
about them not getting back to you immediately. A good chunk of their
employees are off for two weeks at the end of the year.

Many people have gone on record saying they've been abducted by
aliens. ;-)
