Guys I see the road out of Diamond Ck is in Cycle2max. Here's the details. I was thinking of adding in the details of the climb out of Warrandyte from the bus stop to the final rise but I would really need altitude details. Any of the regulars got the altitude kit (Geoff where are you when we need your toys err I mean important tools).

a GPS should give you altitude.
you can log the trip to give you speed, etc regularly hit the new waypoint button to give you more fine grained info 😉

I know for a fact that the high point (where the rock on the left is) is 120m above sea level. Dunno what Warrandyte is...

Not sure whether you're refering to Warrandyte with the above height. But a quick check of the trusty ESMAP with its contours shows Warrandyte at the bridge is something just below 40m, and the top of the hill at Pigeon Bank is just over 200m, maybe 210m. The climb distance is probably 4.5 to 5 kms making for a fairly gentle gradient of about 3.4% overall.Of course the first kilometre and the last 400m are steeper bits.

210m at that hill. Yeah, the property opposite (white picket fence is called Pigeon Bank). 3.4%. must be all dem flat bits and downhill bits inbetween the uppy bits 😕

From my Polar S720i the figures (from today) are:
Distance 5.6 km
Minimum Altitude 1 m Maximum Altitude 165 m **Note this is just what the altimeter shows not the actual heights above sea level, I haven't calibrated it recently Therefore the top of the hill near Kangaroo Ground is about 165m above Warandyte
