Fuji bikes

My first road bike was the Fuji Finest AL. This bike was a great bike and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anybody. The bike was very light and handled well but I eventually decided to upgrade to something with better components and I got a good deal on a Cannondale at my LBS. For me the decision was faily easy, the Fuji was a nice bike but wasn't all that much cheaper so I decided that I would go with a LBS that I liked better.

Oh, about 40 years ago or so I had a Fuji cro-mo bike. I lived in New Jersey. I believe the company stopped marketing in the states during the bike slump years. Since the company has been around such a long time I would only assume they make as good a range of bikes as any other pacific rim manufacturer would.

I realize that certain brands of bikes are dominant in certain parts of the country. I believe that is determined by shipping costs and manufacturers deals they make with local distributors I guess. I have not seen any Fuji bikes out where I live, yet. I don't know offhand if any local bike shop carries them. I'll have to check.
