    Hi.

I recently bought a Polar S625x. I really like it, but I'm experiencing the
    following 2 problems:

    1. When I switch from bike to running mode, my bike wheel cirumference
setting is lost (reset to defualt 2100). I switch between the modes by
going to Options -> Speed settings, and then selecting Bike 1 or Run speed
on. The Options -> Speed Settings might actually be something like
Options -> Settings -> Speed. I can't quite remember and don't have the
    Polar with me right now.

    2. On many runs (roughly 50%) I get a "speed spike" on the graph of the run,
where my speed roughly doubles and then drops back down again in a short
space of time, when in reality I was running at steady pace. This seems to
even happen on some runs where there there is no technology nearby to
possibly interfere with the signal from the footpod (e.g. forest runs).

I'd appreciate any advice or information about the 2 problems I'm
    experiencing.

    Thanks,

    Travers

    Then just STOP doing that!

What's that mean? (I feel a TOS report coming on...)

  10. "This seems to

    runs)."

Travers, please try to not be too sure of the above quote. Does it
happen at the same place(s) on the run? For years I often rode the same
loop & @ the same place my Polar would go nuts. Others riders would
also. We determined that it was comming from a radar station miles up
the hill from the evert site.

Is this different on the 625x, since Travers is talking about the speed
rather than the heart rate? There are certain points in my run where my
S610i will show a heart rate over 180 for a brief time. The lower the
humidity the greater the odds of that happening. Using electrode gel keeps
    it from happening too often.

  12. Thanks for pointing that out. I've posted years ago that K-Y jelly
    helps w/ electrode contact.

  13. I have not experienced this w/o my pace or surface changing
    dramatically.
