I don't ride when the temp is below 40 either. So it's a wind trainer and a lot of hiking maybe some mountain bike stuff. I just ordered me some rollers to get a better workout and do some improving on my spin.

I ride during the winter. Have been out many occasions in the 20's. The biggest trick is to keep your feet warm. I have a pair of Performance booties that are the best I've found. They're lined. Here's the link for them.
Still on sale too....$20.00http://www.performancebike.com/shop/profile.cfm?SKU=17558&subcategory_ID=1344

My min. is around 3 degrees C (37)! If it`s sunny it`s much better because temperatures are at least 5 degrees higher! Last sunday I went out when fog dissappeared, but when I was 2 km away, it fogged again! It was about 0 + my speed and it was too much! Water in bottles had frozen, my finger tips were cold and I`ve got a puncture too heh! I rather go running, mountain climbing or to fitness when it`s freezing! Swimming and XC skiing are also very good choices if it`s possible for you! Don`t worry, you will ride the bike the rest of the year and you`ll rather return riding as if you`d be riding whole winter!🙂

40°?
This is my first winter riding and so far I have been good for -10°C (14°F).
I wear sugoi tights with shorts on top, and then a regular hooded sweatshirt with a thin (long sleeved shirt underneath) and a neckwarmer under the hood. My legs are kept the warmest; biggest problem is my fingers and feet.
Are booties worn by themsleves or are they supposed to be a liner for something?

I rode in the 10F with 15 mph wind. It was painful because the wind was so damn cold. But once I got numb, I was fine. 🙄 I rode about 25 miles. But would I do it again? Probably not.

i do. everyday. right now it gets till around -10... but soon i shall stop doing that. just too cold and can't see with snow going into your eyes

Try with ski goggles and snow won`t be a problem anymore!!:p
