I must be mad... I had a walk around the Lord's Seat and Whinlatter group of fells today in gale force winds and absolutely torrential driving rain. It's amazing how much the elements take out of you - instead of an easy-ish stroll, it turned out to to be a physically tough day - I think I'll go and have a lie down now! The wind must have added an hour on to the walk, easy...and the climb up to Barf from Thornthhwaite - well I reckon I know why it's called Barf now! Photo's are posted:

Now if you had waited for today it would have seemed like a little bit of Summer. :-) Must admit I was a little bit worried as I approached the M6 crossing and it was still raining but I needn't have been. Jacket off all day.
