I've got a pair of really nice Pearl Izumi Toester shoe covers. Unfortunately, after sitting in storage all summer, the zippers are locked up. The zippers were always a bit "sticky" on these anyway, but now they're flat stuck. I tried some penetrating oil - no help. Short of taking them to a shoe repairman, does anyone have any suggestions as to how to get the zippers functional again? They're otherwise excellent shoe covers with only a couple seasons use, and I hate for them to go to waste.
Rubbing a bit of bath soap on the zipper might help lubricate it..
