Sam Berlyn said:Hi,
I am 13, and am a keen woodworker.
This means that I often require to go to the lumberyard to pick up wood. I
cannot carry it, so I need a form of trailer.
I have a dual suspension MTB and would like to build a wooden trailer.
I have looked for plans, but haven't found any.
Please can you point me to some!
Thanks,
Sam
"Mother Earth News" magazine, Issue #70 - July/August 1981 had an
article "Dime On The Dollar" bibycle Trailer.

The above like is what was printed on my print-out of that page.
This design uses a SEATPOST attachment for the trailer - a thing that
wraps around the seat post and arcs over the rear wheel.
There are also various CHAINSTAY-SEATSTAY clamps.
Lastly, there are attachments based upon attaching directly to the REAR
AXLE or some part that is attached by you to the rear axle.
The suggestion to look at different sites is good, as is doing a google
search on "bicycle trailer hitch" or "DIY Bicycle Trailer" or related terms.
The "Dime On The Dollar" is based entirely upon woodworking skills,
including glue, nails and carriage bolts.
STripping a used child's trailer and fitting it out with a plywood bed
is a pretty good alternative.
If you can weld, then your design choices multiply a whole lot.
