What terrain?
If grass/gravel/occasional mud, than a standard cyclo-cross tyre will be
fine.Schwalbe Fast Freds are pretty good, I've been using one on the front
for this seasons cyclo-cross races without a problem.My mate has them in
his shop for £25 a pair.

I've recently purchased some Michelin Mud 2s [1] from Settle Cycles,
but haven't ridden the bike they're fitted to as yet! Though I can't
offer any *personal* feedback, they've got a good reputation; though a
top of the range tyre, Settle offer them at £18 each instead of the
usual £25, so get them while they're cheap if you're tempted....
