Well, finally got my Hope Mini rotor for the rear brake on the BASE 'Beast'-
got all the parts together now, so tonight and this w/e, I'll be fitting it,
fitting a new hose to the front too, and bleeding them both in. This should
be fairly easy, too, since I lashed up a special top cap with a tube sealed
into it, that I can hook up to a bottle full of fluid to avoid the need for
constant re-topping up of the damned reservoir while bleeding, which is
something that cost me quite some *bleeding* time in the past, when I didn't
do it in time and got all [censored] air back into the damned system,
heheheheheh...
When I dreamed up this weird build back in '02, I had it specced with front
and rear discs, and haven't been happy at all that I hadn't had the money to
actually achieve that for so long, so now, I'm a happy bunny indeed! No more
rear brake fade when I go through crappy, wet and slimy mud repeatedly (Read
'Just general riding in the UK'😉, and no more burning through rims so
quickly for the same reasons, either! - Last rim only lasted about 12 to 18
months. I'm hoping I'll get enough riding in soon (if I don't get ill,
injure myself, or keep suffering this stupid back and knee pain!), that
this'll have saved me the cost of the (s/h parts apart from the rotor
itself) in rims alone soon enough.

"Happy-happy joy-joy!"
