How to prevent BB tools from slipping?

Dear bike techs, Can someone recommend an effective way to keep both the Park lockring tool and spline adjuster from slipping while installing a Shimano 7700 bottom bracket? Any suggestions would be greatly appreaciated before I go off and destroy my bike! 🙂 🙂 Aloha, -Gary
