  1. Made my new lamp bracket stifner out of my washing machine drum
    retaining bracket yesterday. Looks/feels much more sturdy. Road test
    tomorrow evening. Maybe I should have painted it before I fitted it. If
    it is OK I'll remove it and paint it over the Christmas hols. What
    colour though ?. I don't have any paint that matches my frame, perhaps
    Hammerite black.

    Yes you should have, once out in the public domain you'll struggle to patent
    it...oops..sorry.....you said painted.

    BTW, this wouldn't be the same washing machine Obree nicked the bearing from
    for his bottom bracket would it?
    Can't see it ever working properly again meself.
