Ye Gods! Considering it's Saturday, buy a ticket in Tatts to celebrate your near miss! Bikes + dogs off lease = no fun. Ask anyone involved in some of the hoo-har with dogs-off lease issues living in Brunswick East/Northcote near the Merri creek in recent years.

My hairiest dawg encounter was five years ago in West Brunnie. Taking a (what I believed to be) short cut along bluestone lane down the hill, I unfortunately realised someone had left the gate open to a backyard.

Back yard contained a VERY LARGE rottie which decided to give chase, while snarling & snapping alongside. Fear of injury/mauling/death has a amazing effect of instantaneously improving ones off-road skills....possibly the closest we get to in Australia to traditional Belgian pavé.... 😄

Very close, envisage steep bluestone laneway with paling fences either side. Inner suburbs location and snapping dog optional. :p
