  1. I have noticed that as I ride more frequently, and with greater distance, speed and power, my left knee bothers me just below/behind the knee cap. There is no discomfort whatsoever when I ride. I only experience the pain/discomfort an hour or more after my ride is over, and even then it is not bad at all. However, I am concerned that it may get worse and begin to affect my riding or other activities.

Is there a general rule of thumb that might explain why I am having pain in that particular area of my knee?

I currently ride 20 to 50 miles, 3 to 5 times per week.

    Thank you.

    Hi there,

I've also suffered this complaint for a while and so I usually experiment with seat height, if my seat's too low forcing my knee's to bend more this aggrevate's it for me. You've probably figured this out anyway if you're riding that much but I just thought i'd tell you what worked for me.
Maybe try raising your seat alittle if you can and see if that help's!
    Take care - Paul.

  3. Also it could you be the cleat. I had the same problem but after adjusting the position of my cleat, it felt fine. It’s just me though… Hope it helped!

    Good luck!

  4. knee pain just below the kneecap was the cleat position with me as well, off by maybe 1mm or less. changing it made a world of difference
