Shoes?

Just old sneakers with about half a sole left per shoe. Or Dunlop
Volleys, but I try to avoid that because the metal pinned pedals rip
them up too quickly.

I use a pair of really worn out sneakers with a fair amount of ankle
support. The toe of the right shoe has come of the sole and I have a
gliding hole in the right sole. The left shoe is in slightly better
shape. Unicycling really kills shoes.

I still use my Adidas "Sambas" They have the waffle design on the front
half and a funky design on the back, the grip is great, and they are
chick magnets...

any skating shoe is good for riding. I buy really cheap ones, and only
use those for unicycling. Because unicycling doesn't destroy them -too-
fast, or too much for just riding in.

I ride in my 10 months old path skateshoes (and they are lookin like
pure slicks on some spots), but it's kind of slippery, with the [censored]
standard pedals i have, and besides that, it is cold and slippery on the
road!

But i'm making progress, now i can jump up sidewalks and ride along, as
long as it's not wet my pedals donesn't get slippery, because.. it was
-13 C when i were out training last night, and then it freezes pretty
fast.

I haven't tried them, but I beleive vans shoes would work extremely well
for uniing. They seem to have a tread pattern that would grip pedals
very well.

As of one month ago 661 was shipping the old style. Missed it by that much...

They are gread riding shoes, but are really improved by replacing the
footbed. Also, I wonder if others have had any roblems with their
duallys - the tongue fell off one of mine.

mine are pretty new, but john's (johnglazer) developed a hole in the
bottom after many months of riding.

$25 Brahma Cruzer's. Good tread (my pedals stick to them annoyingly

I wear my Nike running shoes when I ride. Not the best ankle support,
but you cant beat it for pedal grip.

A stiff soled Airwalk or Vans for Muni (stiff equals less foot bruising
on drops) and Converse hightops for freestyle. The cons are soft and
bend around a rock hard freestyle tire which adds control for WWing et
al.

I used to ride in my K-Swiss but they were getting torn up super fast by
the pins in my pedals, so I got myself a cheap pair of Vans cuz they
were sexy and on sale, and as it happens the waffle design on the bottom
of the whole shoe provides a perfect matrix for my pinned pedals to sort
of 'click' into. It's a loose connection but it does allow me a critical
extra bit of grip when applying pressure in a way such that another shoe
would slip off. But if not Vans, I'd recommend just any skate shoe,
preferably one that interfaces well with your particular pedal design.
