Handle bar

advantages: bike handlebar grip, comfortable ouce you get used to it,
more leverage and solid feel, durability.

disadvantages: heavy, need to drill holes to mount, need to cut to
lengnth, have to get used to it, I don't think you can mount it to a non
carbon fiber seat base, harder on seats/posts/rails because of the
increased leverage.

unless you are talking about for distance riding.

I am never going back to plastic handles.

What type of handlebar are you thinking of? There's handles like the
basic handle on the front of the seat, the 'GB4 handle'
(http://www.unicycle.com/shopping/shopexd.asp?id=576), the 'Reeder
handle' (http://www.unicycle.com/shopping/shopexd.asp?id=472), and then
the larger and more elaborate contraptions on some Cokers.
