This bat...

Virginia Woolf lost her mind.
As for me, I have kept my genius in check,
Merely to survive this life.
And now, alas,
I have been let down, by those
Whose charge it is to care for me,
Both legally, medically, and ethically.
The world needs justice, as well as
The Next world, needs, us, two.
I bought the book Orlando today,
No, I've never read it,
But I will. And also today, I read
Leonard Woolf's account of his wife's
Suffering....It sounds all too familiar.
Hogarth Press, The Waves, Between the Acts,
To the Lighthouse,
A Room of One's Own...all essential
As both art and life.
My Aunt Helen died as did Virginia ~
Drowned, in her own backyard.
What made Helen suffer so?
She read me first, My Alice.
She was my grandmother's best friend.
Helen Fisher, was her name.
La Grange Country Club,
She took me to swim...
She took herself for late-night walk,
Darkness dwells across the pond ~
The swam, alone ~
And died that night...
VW heard birds speak Greek.
