I don't think so. Some people specialize in a certain style and get
really good at it. Even if they do others, but someone always is better
at a certain style.

John Foss,
He said obviouly some people ride more then one style but what is your
favorite? Pick one. I do trials, and street but my favorite is street.

I also ride all. I'm not too good at Trials or Street yet, but I hope
to improve. I can't say which is my favorite, I love them all.

I do Trials/Street mostly, but I like trials more, but I like MUni the
most. I voted for trials, though, because I hardly ever get to MUni.

It would have to be trials or street though.maybe.

I ride only freestyle at the moment. Thanks for remembering to include
it. I think street looks like a lot of fun, but I have the wrong sort of
unicycle and no obstacles or anything near me, so it would be
impracticle. Of course I appreciate all kinds of unicycling. One nice
think about the sport is that it's not yet subdivided like biking is.

Personally though, I don't enjoy "preforming" unicycles. I'd rather ride
them.

I like Muni because you can explore the woods and discover all sorts of
interesting creatures and plants while you're riding.

My bad. What I read was the subject line, "What style do you ride?" and
also the part about "what is your ONE favourite?"

I think my problem is that my favorite has changed over the years, and
included stuff that's not even on the list. Such as racing. Back in the
days, a unicycle competition consisted of racing and trick riding. I
think in those days they were both my favorite.

Performing is always good, because if you can do it enough, you might
not have to "work" for a living.

And I'm always unsure about street. That word gets tossed around a lot
here, but I don't think there is any real solid definition of what it
is. Maybe I'll start a thread with that question.

Until then, I'll stick with a "generally all," though I don't do as much
of some things. It would be easier if polls could use check boxes
instead of just radio buttons, or the ability to rank things in the
order of your favorites.

Street is a mentality and a lifestyle as well as a form of unicycling.
it remains entirely separate from the performing style of unicycling, in
dress equipment and attitude.. its skating with unicycles.

Street draws on traditional unicycling aspects from freestyle and trials
and uses them to its own ends. the main concern of street riding is
flow, trials is very static, but with street u roll into thru and out of
ur trick. u put ur neck/legs/nuts on the line a bit more with street
too. it is more concerned with dropping and grinding than hopping up,
cos that ruins the flow, and the more airtime u have, the more tricks u
can do..

anyone agree/disagree? this is how i feel and i consider myself
exclusively a street rider, especially considering i graduated to
unicycling from bmx and still ride with bmxers

and if any one cares, i learnt to drop in on vert today! i was stoked!

I do all types of riding exept performing. I ride freestyle on my front
porch, trials in my backyard on stumps and rocks. I ride off roading on
dirt bike tracks and hills in the desert and foothills, I sometimes tour
but not that much. Street is very cool looking and I rarly get a chance
to ride it I can grind sometimes when I have something to grind on but
freestyle trials and off-roading are all equal in the amount I ride
them. Ohh... north Seth Enslow rules but I don't think anyone is jumpin
200' gaps on a uni, but Pastrana is the only foo that can double
backflip(to bad he didn't do it at x-games cause that fall).
