Bought loads of stuff from them over the years - all of it excellent. In
fact, I can't honestly think of one piece of Karrimor equipment I have (or
had) which has been in the least way unsatisfactory.

I am a great fan of Karrimor gear.

The old KSBs were billiant, but newer ones not as good except the KSB

Same here, can't knock the stuff I've bought, though they did seem to
lose their way through expansion, not enough fingers for too many
pies. Not the first to fall foul of turning 'corporate'.
My Jaguar sac is still going strong after 17 years hard use. Perhaps a
little heavy by today's standards, but how many things bought now will
still be functional in 2021?

getting positive reviews for a while now. Nor do we don't know what's behind
the negative statement that rattled you - unlike other replies it's not
exactly objective, is it! If you want to feel better, try finding

I bought a pair of KSB boots at the beginning of the year. Cheviot
GTX leather boot. I have personally found them to be fantastic.
They've had masses of use and have never been anything other than
super comfortable and ultra-reliable. I wore them on a 7-day trek in
the summer and they were great. Even though they're a 'heavy' 3-4
season boot, I choose to use them even for light summer walks, due to
how comfortable they are. I prefer them to trainers in terms of
comfort.

At the end of the day you'll get people who have had bad experiences
with all kinds of products - those with bad experiences tend to be the
most vocal. Hopefully you'll turn out to be as pleased with your boot
choice as I was with mine.

I've also had a couple of Karrimor backpacks for a few years, and
they've been superb. My father still uses the 60(ish) litre Karrimor
pack he bought when he first joined the mountain rescue 25+ years ago.
And my sister, who recently had a baby boy, has now inherited the
Karrimor papoose off my parents that they used to carry me around the
hills when I was a baby.

Basically, in my experience, Karrimor gear is excellent.
