  1. I started my WOE last year on November 13. I lost most of the weight by
early spring, then continued to lose a little now and then, while the
remaining weight shifted around. The clothes I bought after my initial
weight loss will now need to be taken in or replaced.

I'm now at 152, down from 190, and holding my own.

Other than a mini-nervous breakdown, quickly healed by two pints of Ben &
    Jerry's, I've been true blue.

Thanks to those of you who supported me. And to the ones who didn't: I GOT
    MINE, HOW YOU FIXED?

    :-)

    Jean

Ah, but success is the best revenge.

the need to point it out and throw it in people's faces is always petty,
whether it's rooted in the desire for revenge or anything else (the
desire for revenge, by the way, is petty). it says much more about the
"successful" person than it does her detractors.

if she were truly successful, she wouldn't need to try & take anyone
    else down with her words.

She's not taking "anyone" else down - she is shouting at the anonymous void
of usenet. If it gets it off her chest, who cares.

sniping is sniping, whether it's at the "anonymous void" or a specific
person. her need to make such a petty comment detracts from her
success. there's more to being "successful" than losing weight.

This sounds incredibly inconsistent coming from somebody who regularly
supports J.C. and his awful comments.

i've never supported his nastiness. i support his attempts to try to
    steer people towards self-sufficiency.

i do understand that most people are unable to make the distinction.

  12. I hate seeing people doing that too. Sort of mars the style so to speak.

Good grief - did she hit a nerve? You not losing? So what??? Why do
you have to rain on somebody else's parade. Oh wait - that's what you
do best. Momentary lapse of reason there.

    more often.

I do understand that you might be unable to make that distinction.

  16. Congratulations, Jean! May the next year be much better for you (in terms
    of your mental health!)

it has nothing to do with losing weight, and she obviously doesn't need
me to rain on her parade: she's doing it herself by letting people she
doesn't like live rent-free in her head. freedom from excess bodyweight
doesn't mean much if you're still a slave to your useless emotional
baggage, which can be just as heavy as fat - if not heavier.
