Fettling Elinor's new bike (no new baby yet, so still hidden in the garage) - dolly seat, nice big shiny tooty horn, lights (yes I know a 4 year old isn't likely to be riding around on the roads at night, but she likes to have lights on here bike like daddies, and if I don't fit some cheap LEDS she'll insist pinching my Cateye EL200...... and she has more than once been known to ride her trike around in the dark in winter)
Anyway, went to pump the tyres up a bit a realised that had those bloody stupid Woods valves, now I have pumped up woods Valved tubes before so must have a suitable pump/adaptor somewhere, but I didn't have it yesterday. I think it's going to save me grief in the future just to swop them for schraeder tubes now, another job.....

Because most children's bikes are bought in the Netherlands where all utility bikes have Woods valves? I have a handful of adaptor thingies, but all from Presta to Woods, because Dutch basic bicycle pumps are for Woods valves.

No, well it isn't the same as my Presta pump fittings, similar diameter though, so maybe some will fit, but the valve bit isn't as long.

Well there is obviously presta adapters and presta adapters.
My Smarthead doesn't seem to like them - doesn't seal, neither does the presta fitting on my frame fit pump.
TBH, I think I'd rather junk them rather than get stuck in future not being able to pump them up. -- Chris French, Leeds
