  1. Yet another LC product that is not easy to find in Belgium.
Can anyone tell me if it is generally available in the US and/or the UK?

    Thanks,

    Brian

It's quite easy to find here in the U.S. It is also called Vital Wheat
Gluten, or Vital Wheat. Here are some sites.

    Brian,

I think it's quite widely available in the UK - no marks on my packet, but I
think I bought it in Tesco's organic section. It might've been in Holland
and Barrett(sp?) instead, but I certainly didn't have a hard time finding
it. Rice gluten seems more elusive, which is irritating because I want to
    try a particular bread recipe...

  4. Brian - you can find this at http://www.lowcarbmegastore.com/, they are
based in the UK, and they ship to Europe. I've been ordering from them for
a few months now. Just do a search for wheat gluten, and their product will
    come up.

Thanks Rebecca. That gives me another clue. The local health food people
look at me aghast when I ask for wheat gluten and tell me most people want
gluten free flour. I also found that a company called Cerestar manufacture
Vital Wheat gluten right here in Belgium and exports it to the US, among
others. I have e-mailed them asking where this product can be found retail
    in Belgium.

Thanks Nicky. If I can't find it here, I shall be in the UK in a couple of
weeks and both Tesco and H&B are on the visit list.

Thanks Staci. I had a look and that sounds great. Our bread machine has been
redundant for several months now so their low-carb bread recipes look really
    interesting.

I've just discovered them too - they do next-day delivery low-carb bread
which is excellent, my bread machine is redundant again until I finish this
    loaf : )

    But it's cheaper at their source, www.flourbin.co.uk - 99p a packet, but
    the minimum order is £10.
