  1. Not the cold or Christmas type <g>.

I'm trying to locate trekking/walking/scrambling info, maps, etc. on
    this
    wonderful country.

Map-wise I have the following candidates for (<semi>useable) maps (lotsa
    zeros in them
    scales) -

    * Lycia and Pamphylia/Pisidia 1:250,000 maps produced by Archaeologist
    Sabri Aydal.

    * 1:250,000 Turkish Harita Genel Komuntanligi maps. Available only from
    the army?

    * 1:500,000 US Defense Mapping Agency topographical maps of Turkey.

    * 1:800,000 Geo Center Euro-map of West Turkey.

    * 1:500,000 Kartographischer Verlag Reinhard Ryborsc.

    * 1:150,000 Freytag & Berndt. Riviera Turca Antalya. (Q: Is this map
    really 1:150k?)

Guide/book-wise I am aware of the following -

    * The Ala Dag - Tuzel, O.B. ISBN: 1852841125

    * The Mountains of Turkey - Smith, Karl ISBN: 1852841613

    * Lycian Way - Clow, Kate ISBN: 0953921808

    * Landscapes of Turkey around Antalya - Anderson, Eileen; Anderson,
    Brian ISBN: 0948513608

    Web-wise I am aware of -

    * Lycian Way & St. Pauls website http://www.lycianway.com/ (with the
    downloadable maps and GPS info).

    * Various commercial websites for organised (led)
    excursions/trips/holidays

Does anyone have anything else they would care to impart/share?

    FU to own post :-(

I've Google-Group-searched rec.backcountry and have come up with a fat
    (negative) zero.

    Anyone with further crumbs?
