  1. Hi,

I have been low carbing for almost a year (Dec. 1st 2003). I've lost 50
pounds and have been stalled, for good reason, for about 3 months.
    (238,188,165).

Any who, was wondering if anyone had a good source for buying mayonnaise
packets. I am a bit of a food snob and almost require Hellmann's or
    something very similar.

This newsgroup and all the faithful longtime users, I salute you. I
wouldn't have had as much success as I have had had it not been for all of
    you.

    Thanks,
    AmyB

P.S. this is my husband's group surfer so I will not show up as me.
    Doesn't matter much.

  2. Probably at Sam's or Costco's

Restaurant supply stores or services are the ones who put those
Hellmann's mayonase packets into your favorite restaurant.

You can order some condiment packets from Sams Club wwww.samsclub.com

Pretend you are a restaurant. Then, the answer becomes easier. You go
where other restaurants go for restaurant supplies.

  4. In California you can buy a box of Best Foods mayonnaise packets at "Smart
and Final." They also carries a cheap brand of some kind.

The nice thing about packets is you don't have to worry about spoilage as
you do with an open jar.

www.minimus.biz has all kinds of "packets"

I think Best Foods on the west coast is Hellmann's in the rest of the
    country.

  6. "Smart and Final" is struggling to be a Restaurant Supply firm in
    California and several other states.

They are open to all food service and just plain consumers, and the
    stores are relatively plentiful.

There are some *really* good buys in them too. Butter Flavored Powder
and Beef Extract were some of my staples.
