    They probably make them out of some cheap and nasty alloy using slave
    labour in China or Burma or somewhere, and sell them at cost+50%. Come
    on, how much do you figure it costs to make a pair of walking poles? You
    can get an Aluminium PC case, complete with 400w PSU, for what 'brand
    name' walking poles (per pair) cost, and the case has to involve lots
    more raw materials, labour, and energy.

    You =know= putting 'Brasher' (or whoever) on the handle is an immediate
    3-5x price markup.

    Aldi is similar to Lidl so if you want one be first in the queue on the day
    they are sold.

    Interesting I will wait till they come to Lidl.
