  1. Just got back from the local WalMart SuperCenter and they had all of their
CarbSense bake mixes on sell for $1.00 per box. FYI

  2. Sounds like they are dumping the line.

I tried one, last Christmas season, and it was awful. Some kind
of cake, I don't remember which.

Plus, I imagine they don't sell well because the pictures aren't
appetizing. One of them, and I don't remember what this one is
supposed to be, either, looks like dog turds in a bowl.

    I've used CarbSense baking mix and it wasn't bad--although I didn't
use it in any way where it was a principal ingredient yet. I tried a
brownie bake mix from the organic aisle--that was really blah, and the
inulin in it gave me severe gas for 24 hours. Also tried an expensive
little package from a high-price grocer (like Trader Joe) and that was
    horrible.

I'm finding a lot of moderate carb bake mixes at the big Grocers
(Super Stop-n-Shop). The moderate ones have carbs but typically less
than half of the normal product and they taste very good. Krusteaz
CarbSimple is a good line, but the big guys are rolling out theirs
(duncan hines, betty crocker, etc). There was another lesser known
    make that I can't recall.

I also noticed that sugar pudding mixes are bake. They disappeared for
a while (too much demand?). Now the regular brands are back as was a
"Dr. Oetker" for mousse which I had never heard of.

They've been gong on sale a lot lately--to introduce them and compete.

  5. I got some brownie mix that was just heavenly from
    http://www.lowcarbdietchefs.safeshopper.com/ It's a little pricey but a
package makes 9 brownies that taste just like regular brownies. Their
nutritional info is a bit off, they calculated it for a 30 gram brownie and
cutting it into 9 makes bigger brownies than that. I recalculated and got
    Cal 88, from fat 27, Fat g 3, Carb 9 minus 3 fiber, net 6, protein 3. I
made them with a cup of walnuts which gives Cal 174, from fat 99, Fat g 12,
    Carb 11 minus 4, net 7, Protein 5 g.

Dr. Oetker (pronounced roughly "Doctor Urtker"😉 is a well known German
brand. It is a mainstay in Germany. They even have cookbooks....

  7. I just got some but haven't tried it yet. No ingredients except soy protein
isolate, oat bran, wheat gluten, baking soda.

What do you combine it with? At zero carbs, mostly protein, I was thinking
of combining it with BisQuick's cheese biscuit mix or something.

I have used it in a meatloaf that was too wet, and when coating
    chicken fro frying.
