OK. If anyone ever posted a similar poll or a thread, tell me by sending a private message and I will lock the poll.
Anyways, I was just curious of what genre of biking is the most dominant.
I'm an urban freerider--I do stunts, freeriding in the city.
What do you guys do? 😄

I predict a big win for ROAD. Why? Mountain biking is broken up into five different categories; but road racing, road fitness, touring, and club riding are all in one category.
...and what the heck is 'comfort?'
-
I concur, more roadie cat's needed me thinks

What do you guys do? 😄well I dont think we need a poll to tell us Road Bikes Rule but hey
why not see 🙂...and what the heck is 'comfort?'
thats what us older guys try for lol -
Yeah, I should have divide Road too, if know more about it. Comfort is when you ride a comfortable bike around.
-
I think road could easily have been split up a bit - we have hill climbers, sprinters, time triallists and people who you might class as domestiques amongst us - and these are just examples. My big question though is where is the category for trackies? I'm not one myself, but they are a major part of cycling.

So, all those other categories require your bike to be uncomfortable? If we take your definition, then most of us have bikes that hurt us but we ride anyway? The message here seems to be that most of us are uncomfortable on our bikes? -

No. What I mean by comfort is when you get those extra comfortable bikes. Of course if a bike gives you good performance it is comfortable to you. But this kind of comfort bikes are too comfortable that you cannot perform anything at all.....I mean....... !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(Bottom)
Sorry for my poor explanation . 😕 :o 😄

That's what I though you meant, but of course I couldn't pass up the opportunity to give you a hard time! 😉 Comfort bikes are basically low-end mountain bikes with fat saddles and less agressive tires, meant to ride on the road. Like you said, SLOWLY. Hey! I guess you DID break up the road riders a little bit! -
Road sprinter here. I live for the sprints! Those first 5 seconds of acceleration are bliss for me. I will be a trackie next year.
Unfortunately I can only sprint against myself, no roadie around here is interested in sprinting with me.

I predict a win for enthusiastic but short lived...
What? It's not That kind of ride?

Road cyclist here too- mostly for commuting but also training for my first distance ride in April. I wouldn't call bike commuting "convenience" especially this time of year, when it takes 10 extra minutes to change in and out of the extra layers 😄 -
Forgot to mention, I just started trials about two months ago, so consider me voted for trials. 😄
-
I keep both a mountain bike and a road bike in my car so when I can sneak away from work I can go with how I feel at that particular moment. Sometimes the single tracks win and sometimes I have a need for speed.
-
I was raised on road bikes, but have been riding trails on mountain bikes lately. I just love to ride anything anytime.
