  1. What songs make you want to get up and dance? I'm so tired of the same workout
mix on my ipod, but I've listened to everything I can think of. I'm sure others
could use this too! Any number of songs (your one favorite to a whole
playlist), from *any* era and genre. Even something slower for cooldown if it's
    still 'moving' KWIM? LOL! THANKS!

Allrighty then. My musical tastes may not mesh well with yours, but here
    goes.

Lots of choices from They Might Be Giants, my favorite band. Most of their
    songs are peppy and quirky.

The cast recording from the musical Once on this Island. Some of the songs
are slow, but they're all good. "We Dance" is a great one to work out to.

Cherry Poppin' Daddies, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, or classic swing music.

    Madonna.

80's cheese: "Mickey," "We Built This City," anything by Debbie Gibson or
    Tiffany.

I posted this last year, and it still pretty much applies:

Da Da Da (aka the Volkswagon Song)
Good Rockin' Tonight (Wynonnie Harris -- BEST version!)
I Like Big Butt (Sir Mix A Lot)
    Marie Laveau (The Flying Neutrinos)
A Fool In Love (Tina Turner)
Mr. Zoot Suit (the Flying Neutrinos (Blast From the Past swing dance number)
    Mr. Boombastic (Shaggy)
I'm Gonna Be (The Proclaimers - theme from Benny & Joon)
    In the Summertime (Mungo Jerry)
5 O'clock World (former Drew Carey theme)
Do Wah Diddy (Manfred Mann, I think)
    YMCA (The Village People)
Big Girls Don't Cry (The Four Seasons)
Living On Tulsa Time (Eric Clapton)
3 Cool Cats (3 Cool Cats)
Dr. Demento version of the Witchdoctor song (ting, tang, walla, walla bing, bang)
    Movin' On Up (Janet DuBois)
    Trickle, Trickle (manahattan transfer)
    Twist & Shout (Beatles)
    Coconut (Nilsson)
Roll Mr. Jelly (Saffire, The Uppity Blues Women (inspired my screenname))
Mony, Mony (Tommy James & The Shondells)
I Think We're Alone Now (Tommy James & The Shondells)
You Never Can Tell (Pulp Fiction dance number)
Hanky Panky (Tommy James & The Shondells)
Volkswagon ambiance music (everyone on the street moving to the rhythm)
    Montego Bay (Bobbie Bloom)
Stay (The Four Seasons) (for cool-down) (I have this as #10 so I can know exactly
where it is when I'm ready to do a cool-down)

I've since made other CDs with some of the above and sometimes adding others such
    as:

What Is Love (Haddaway (aka A Night At The Roxbury))
I'm Too Sexy (Right Said Fredd)
    Wild, Wild West (Escape Club)
Spirit In The Sky (Norman Greenbaum)
    Low Rider (Cheech & Chong)
    Buzz Me Blues (Louis Jordan)
We Want The Funk (Parliments) [might be called "Tear the Roof Off ..."]
Draggin' The Line (Tommy James & The Shondells)
Play That Funky Music {Wild Cherry)
    Lady Marmalade (Patti LaBelle)
U Can't Touch This (MC Hammer)

Obviously I haven't updated my CD collection in a while :-)

  14. Kiss Me---Sixpence None the Richer
    Torn---Natalie Imbruglio
    Sunny Came Home---Shawn Colvin
Didn't Mean to Turn You On---Robert Palmer
    Atomic Dog---Parliament
If I Was Your Woman---Janet Jackson (this one's not for the kiddies! Racy!)
    Go All the Way---Raspberries
    Everybody Dance Now---C&C Music Factory

It's an eclectic mix, but it keeps me moving while I'm out walking. I love
it because I can get lost in the music. Tempo doesn't really affect me
much, so I also have some favorite slower tunes on the same cd.
