  1. I called my landlord because the garage door is broken. So he came over this
morning to check it out, and when I answer the door, he asked if I was home! He
hasn't seen me in at least 6 months, I guess my weightloss made me look like a
different person! LOL! Better than a compliment IMHO. Made my day.

Don't you wish you had that episode on tape, so you could watch it again
    and again? <G> Great going!

I had a similar experience. There is an older woman who walks/bikes by all
the time. Last month she asked me if I was "Grandma" LOL I am 38 yrs old
and my kids are 12 and 4. She said she didn't recognize me because I have
    lost so much weight.
I wonder where her mind has been for the last year or so?
I thought losing weight made one look younger, but apparently that isn't
true in my case. : )

I'd probably have assumed something more like your niece.

You look like a new (and much younger) woman. That story is just comical!

I haven't found that to be true. Losing weight can make some women
especially start to look their age. Plumpness can keep one youthful
looking -- with the skin especially.

I guess I'm pretty fortunate. When I got down near 190 last year on
Atkins, I looked a lot like my high school graduation picture.

BUT ... middle age is doing some nasty things like making my skin crepey.
I'm used to more elasticity, and it was a real shocker the first time I
    noticed it.

I hear ya on THAT one -- I don't know how much is due to the skin being stretched
out by being fat and how much is due to being 49, but some parts are getting
downright SCARY! I wasn't expecting THAT :-( The first time you notice it, it
IS a shock -- kind of like when you notice that first gray hair somewhere other
    than on your head).

She probably didn't think you looked older so much as you looked a LOT like Lori.

OMG ... I had never thought of that. Thankfully, I still have a big belly.
