I am looking for an egg substitute that is not made with real egg. I read in an article that they make them, of course it did not list them by name. My husband is allergic to eggs and it would help with recipes that call for a large number of eggs and he would love to have French toast occasionally. Thanks.

FWIW I can have troubles with eggs myself. For my system I solved the problem by nuking my scrambled eggs for 2 minutes before eating.
YMMV

Go to your healthfood store and ask for it. Comes in a smallish box. Every year, I make a vegan birthday cake for a coworker of mine, so I've used that egg substitute stuff on several occasions. I've only used it IN recipes though...I've never tried it just by itself, so I really can't vouch for it's taste, consistency or egg-likeness.
