Corbett - Definition

Cross Fell hits two of the criteria BUT clearly isn't SCOTTISH.

Are my assumptions correct?

Yep. It would be a Corbett if it was in Scotland so it's a Furth. It
is also a Marilyn because the definitons of Marilyns and Corbetts
coincide as regards drop.

Yes, but add to that that it must be below 3000' too.

J R Corbett's list was for the whole arrchaepelago. England Wales and
Ireland.. So putting on my Mr Pedant hat... I would say that it is
correct to call Cross Fell a Corbett....

Having said that, the consensus over the years is that they are
Scottish Hills, but this is probably due to the only list until
recently being in the back of Munro's Tables.
